Per Aspera Ad Astra – 1 Troy Oz .999 Fine Silver Round | Veritas Numisma Series

Description:

Through hardships to the stars — an enduring declaration that the greatest heights demand the hardest climbs. Per Aspera Ad Astra joins the Veritas Numisma Series with a powerful tribute to perseverance, ambition, and the courage to keep reaching. Rendered in .999 fine silver, this Latin maxim gives form to the conviction that adversity can become the path to achievement.

Struck in 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver, this 39mm round depicts a skeletal climber ascending a jagged mountain, its tattered cloak streaming behind it as one hand reaches toward the stars. Above the summit, a flowing banner bears the words “Per Aspera Ad Astra.” The steep terrain and outstretched arm capture the distance between struggle and aspiration — and the determination required to bridge it.

The reverse features the series’ signature design: a robed skeletal philosopher holding a burning torch beneath the words “Enduring Latin Maxims.” The surrounding inscriptions identify Veritas Numisma, Intaglio Mint, and the round’s weight and silver purity.

The Maxim:

“Per Aspera Ad Astra” translates as “Through Hardships to the Stars.” It expresses a timeless principle: meaningful achievement often requires endurance through difficulty, uncertainty, and setbacks. Here, the skeleton adds a reminder of mortality to the ascent. Our time is limited, but the heights we strive toward give purpose to the journey.
