OCTOPUS – 1/2 Troy Ounce .999 Fine Silver Ball Marker | Mint Markers^®

Description

A high-relief octopus with tentacles reaching in every direction, eyes fixed forward, rendered in the deep intaglio style the Mint Markers^® line is known for. Eight arms — plenty enough to retrieve every ball you’ve ever put in the water on 17.

The Legend

Scientists will tell you the octopus has nine brains and can taste with its arms. Golfers will tell you that, even with all that, an octopus would still short-side itself from 80 yards. The kraken legends of the North Sea seem silly until you’ve actually watched your ball vanish into a pond and wondered, quietly, whether something under there was pulling. On many courses, it is. Make the marker a peace offering — put a piece of silver down on the fringe and maybe the hazard gods take pity on your next approach.
