Missouri Bigfoot Silver Round – 1 Troy Ounce
The Missouri Legal Tender Act Series pays tribute to the growing movement across the United States to recognize silver and gold as legal tender. Each issue celebrates the restoration of sound money alongside the iconic people, principles, places, legends, and events that have shaped Missouri’s distinctive identity.
Bigfoot in Ozarks Folklore
This Missouri Bigfoot silver round ventures deep into the forests of the Ozarks in pursuit of one of America’s most enduring mysteries—Bigfoot. For generations, reports of enormous, humanlike creatures have emerged from remote wilderness areas across North America. Missouri has developed its own rich tradition of sightings and local legends, making the elusive creature a natural addition to a series honoring the folklore of the Show-Me State.
Obverse and Reverse Design
The obverse presents Bigfoot striding powerfully through a rugged woodland landscape. Towering trees, broken branches, exposed roots, and dense undergrowth frame the massive creature as it moves through the forest. Fine detailing throughout the hair, muscular form, and surrounding terrain gives the scene tremendous depth while capturing the mystery of a fleeting encounter in the wild.
The reverse displays the official Missouri State Seal beneath the proud inscription MISSOURI LEGAL TENDER ACT 2025. It is encircled by the MINT OF THE OZARKS hallmark and the date the act took effect—August 28, 2025. Although the regional hallmark appears within the design, this round is produced entirely in-house by Intaglio Mint.
Struck from 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver, this highly detailed 39mm round brings together Missouri folklore, the untamed beauty of the Ozarks, and the enduring principles of sound money.
