Zombie Zodiacs Aries – 1 Troy Ounce – 39mm
The Ram returns with a haunting human face.
Aries takes an unexpected form in Intaglio Mint’s Zombie Zodiacs collection: a decayed, human-like portrait framed by massive curling ram horns. The combination preserves the sign’s defining feature while giving it a distinctly undead personality. Struck in 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver, this 39mm round presents the detailed portrait in a Brilliant Uncirculated finish.
The Ram and the Golden Fleece
In classical tradition, Aries was associated with the legendary ram whose golden fleece became the object of the Argonauts’ quest. The ram’s place in that story gives the zodiac sign a connection to one of the ancient world’s enduring adventure tales. This round takes the horned motif into modern fantasy rather than attempting a literal scene from the legend.
Horns Frame the Horror
Deeply ridged horns curve around an elongated zombie face, their broad spiral shapes contrasting with the hollow features and exposed teeth. Small floral details add another layer of texture beneath the portrait. Fine concentric lines and scattered stars surround the figure, with the Aries glyph above and the sign’s name below.
The reverse carries the series’ zombie Moon and Sun with radiating lines, surrounded by all twelve astrological symbols. It provides a common celestial setting for the individual creatures and portraits throughout the Zombie Zodiacs collection.
