The Military Service Appreciation Round brings that message to life in two troy ounces of .999 fine silver, combining an eagle and American flag with a saluting service member and a direct expression of gratitude.
A Tradition of Honoring Service
America’s tradition of recognizing its veterans extends beyond a single generation. In 1954, the name of the November 11 holiday changed from Armistice Day to Veterans Day, broadening its purpose to honor American veterans of all wars. This round carries a similarly inclusive message: appreciation for the people who have worn the uniform, whether their service is ongoing or belongs to an earlier chapter of their lives.
Obverse Design
An eagle faces right against the folds of an American flag. Five service emblems curve around the lower portion of the design, representing the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard. The close view of the eagle’s head and layered feathers gives the composition a strong central focus, while the surrounding emblems recognize the different paths through military service depicted on this round.
Reverse Design
A saluting soldier’s silhouette is framed by a sunburst, with five stars at the ends of the rays echoing the five service emblems on the obverse. The inscription “THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE” follows the lower curve. The hallmark “TWO TROY OUNCES .999 FINE SILVER” identifies the round’s precious-metal content.
