Country Road Creature – 2 Troy Ounce .999 Fine Silver Round
An empty road should offer a way home. Here, it leads straight to something waiting in the darkness. Our artist’s rendition of the Country Road Creature brings a terrifying piece of internet horror to two troy ounces of .999 fine silver—an unsettling addition to a collection of monsters, mysteries, and things better left unseen.
A Modern Monster for a Lonely Road
Originally created by Canadian horror artist Trevor Henderson, the Country Road Creature belongs to modern imaginative horror rather than a documented animal species. This is more internet urban legend than traditional cryptid, but it was too cool and terrifying to leave out of the collection.
The setting does much of the storytelling. A back road is familiar enough to feel ordinary, yet isolated enough to make an unexpected encounter deeply uncomfortable. Place a monstrous figure in that empty stretch of road and the route ahead suddenly becomes a trap.
In the creature’s fictional lore, remote country roads are its usual territory, with the hunt carrying it farther when prey proves difficult to find. The round captures that idea in a single confrontation: the creature occupies the road, and the viewer seems to have arrived at exactly the wrong moment.
For horror collectors, the appeal lies in that unanswered question—what happens next? The design leaves the rest of the encounter to the imagination, translating a contemporary monster story into a compact silver scene.
Obverse Design
The Country Road Creature stands in the middle of an empty road, poised to devour its prey. The composition makes the roadway part of the threat, directing attention toward the figure blocking the way.
Reverse Design
A large Intaglio Mint logo is surrounded by a plain border reading “TWO TROY OUNCES” above and “.999 FINE SILVER,” flanked by stars.
