Molon Labe, meaning “come and take it” is a traditional Greek phrase expressing defiance, believed to be spoken by the Spartan King Leonidas when the Persian armies demanded the surrender of their weapons. The expression is commemorated in this one-ounce silver art medal.

- Obverse: A Spartan Soldier in a war pose. The words “MOLON LABE” along the circumference between noon and 10 o’clock.
- Reverse: An eagle with wings spread centered with a crown above and holding a flowing ribbon with the talons on a circular background of a diamond pattern. “500 Total Mintage” below eagle. LIMITED MINTAGE ™ across the top circumference, and MINT CLUB ™ across the bottom circumference.
