Product Details

In The Wolf Man, the main character returns to Llanwelly, Wales, in the UK to reconcile with his estranged father. While there, he becomes romantically involved with a local girl who runs the antique shop. As a pretext to converse with her, he purchases a silver-headed walking stick decorated with a wolf. The shop owner tells him it represents a werewolf (which she defines as a man who changes into a wolf at certain times of the year.)

In the village, whenever there is mention of a werewolf, various villagers recite the poem:

Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night;
May become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright.

One night, while attempting to save a girl from a wolf attack, the main character kills the beast with his new walking stick, but not before he is bitten by the creature in the process.? A gypsy fortuneteller reveals to him that the animal that bit him was actually her son in the form of a wolf. She also reveals that he will transform into a wolf since a werewolf bites him, and he will turn into one himself.

He transforms into a wolf-like creature and stalks the village, first killing the local gravedigger. He retains vague memories of being a werewolf and wanting to kill and continually struggles to overcome his condition. He is finally bludgeoned to death by his father with his silver walking stick after attacking his girlfriend.
