Zombie Zodiacs Pisces – 2 Troy Ounces – 39mm
Two fishes from the zodiac’s dark waters.
The Zombie Zodiacs Pisces round transforms the familiar pair of celestial fishes into a circling duo of aquatic nightmares. Gaping jaws, sharp teeth, and ragged fins bring the series’ post-apocalyptic character to 2 troy ounces of .999 fine silver. The 39mm format gives the opposing fish room to twist around one another, with a Brilliant Uncirculated finish emphasizing their intricate surfaces.
Ancient Fishes and a Myth of Escape
Fish imagery has been associated with the stars of Pisces since ancient Middle Eastern civilizations. In one Greek myth, Aphrodite and her son Eros became fish to flee the monster Typhon, tying themselves together so they would not be separated. That story belongs to the constellation’s mythology; the ravenous zombie fish on this round are a modern reinterpretation.
Pisces After the Apocalypse
The two creatures curve in opposite directions, creating a circular rhythm within the round. Their open mouths and spreading fins turn a peaceful celestial pairing into something far more threatening. Fine concentric lines fill the background, while the Pisces symbol above and the sign’s name below keep the design firmly tied to its zodiac identity.
On the reverse, the Zombie Zodiacs Moon and Sun share a field of radiating lines, surrounded by the twelve astrological symbols. This common reverse links Pisces to the rest of the series, making the fish a distinctive addition to a collection built around the zodiac.
